The Magic of Triangles

The students had a big challenge this Halloween day: make a structure strong enough to hold a dictionary out of toothpicks and gummy worms, two very weak materials. They had to use all the design theory they learned so far to stabilize the structure enough to overcome the weakness of the materials.
