Teacup by Rebecca Young is an allegory about growing up. A boy journeys on the oceans with only a book, a blanket, a bottle and a teacup which contains dirt from his favorite playground. He travels in search of a new home and finds it thanks to the tree that grows out of the teacup. Students used watercolors to paint their teacup and the object they would put in it to remember their childhood on their journey.
